Crosswinds Marina is nestled in the heart of Whitehall and offers a serine setting to sit and relax while watching boats float by on the way out to Lake Michigan. You're a five minute walk to downtown Whitehall where you can visit local restaurants/pubs, Fetch Brewery and shopping on Colby street. A few local restaurants to check out are Pekadill's-Family owned sandwich shop serving deli-style bites & salads, plus old-fashioned ice cream, within walking distance, Old Channel Inn-a year round White Lake tradition since 1930. Relaxed cottage atmosphere. Cocktails, soups, sandwiches, dinners including walleye, lake perch, salmon, beef, and chicken, Pub 111-Tasty pub fare, cocktails, wine, 16 rotating beers on tap, live music and family friendly, The Chamber Bar/Gary's Restaurant-For AM and PM people. Grab a classic All-American breakfast (you can even get a mimosa or bloody Mary if you want!), lunch or dinner. Order a specialty pizza or a sub (We recommend the Hawaiian Houseboat Pizza!). There is something for everyone. Family friendly, full bar with rotating taps, great service, great food, and live music on the weekends, and Buzz's Lakeside Inn-Buzz's also offers outside dining with a great view of White Lake! Buzz's is a casual atmosphere that offers outdoor seating and is family friendly. Menu options include, cocktails, beer/wine, appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and dinners with choices of beef, chicken or fish. 


For fresh locally grown produce, flowers, meats, cheeses, eggs, fish, coffee and much more take a ride into Montague and visit our local farmer's market located at 4511 Church St. (Minutes from the marina). Hours are 9 am to 1 pm from the first Saturday in June and every Saturday through the last Saturday in October. The Market is also open on Wednesdays in July, August, and September.  Another option is to take a 20 minute ride by car into Muskegon to visit the Muskegon Farmers Market at 242 West Western Ave. Days and hours are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. After that take a stroll down Western Avenue and enjoy some of the local shopping (including our new "micro shops"), restaurants, Rootdown yoga studio/smoothie bar, Unruly or Pigeon Hill breweries, Oceana Winery, 18th Amendment distillery and wood fired pizzas, Rebel Pies, RAD DADS taco and tequila bar, or Top Shelf Pizza.


Michigan's Adventure amusement park is a 15 minute drive by car to the South and a great way to spend the day. Take a 15 minute ride by car to the north and visit Double JJ Resort for horseback riding, Thoroughbred Golf Course and Gold Rush indoor water park. Other area attractions include Country Dairy (guided farm tours, ice cream, and deli), Lewis Farm Market 700 acre farm with a petting zoo, 30+ attractions and games, bakery and farm market. Take a scenic car ride to Silver Lake and experience Mac Wood's Dune Rides. If stock car racing is your thing, check out Winston Speedway in Rothbury, on Friday nights.


Local breakfast bites will include Gary's restaurant (located adjacent to The Chamber Bar on Colby), and The Dive Restaurant and Bakery. Or take a ride into Muskegon and check out a few breakfast places we're known for like Mr. B's Pancake House, Toast 'N Jams, Steak 'N Egger, Carmen's Cafe, or Hennessy's Pub and Whiskey Bar (yes they serve breakfast).


Up for an adventure? Take the Sea Turtle out for the day during your stay (if you're comfortable with driving the boat yourself) and spend the afternoon exploring the almost 2600 acres of beautiful White Lake. We are known for our world class fishing so don't forget your fishing poles!
